The purpose and scope of the committee is to inform (bring to the attention of information), counseling, education for:
Wide circles of society;
Political parties and politicians responsible for the implementation of the Health Protection policy and social workers and the development of criteria on which the development of a network of medical and social services in countries with the best medical and social services is based.
The Committee will develop its activities with the help of:
- - Analysis of international experience with the development of primary medical services and the infrastructure of the hospital market;
- - Participation in international research projects to integrate a network of medical and social services;
- - The transfer of international experience from the development of the infrastructure of medical services to rural regions and economically depressed regions, remote from the centers of economic growth;
The committee’s activities should help society in Ukraine avoid mistakes made in other countries when, through the influence of lobbying groups on politics, through short-term economic benefits (especially in situations of economic crisis), the infrastructure of medical and social services was “optimized” to supplement the market with medical and social services, removing the medical and social infrastructure in villages and economically depressed regions.
Because of this, politicians in some countries have raised the threshold for enrolling in the Public Health System.
Knowing the price of the services that are provided, to improve the quality of services - for the long term.
The committee’s activities should help to create an understanding in Ukrainian society that the one-sided prioritization of economic arguments for decision-making in infrastructure development is against the criteria: quality of services, satisfaction of patients' services and satisfaction of the working conditions of medical workers, and judging by the effectiveness of the spent public funds for medical and social infrastructure in the long run will always mean large economic, social and even political losses for societies but.
The Committee will develop its activities with the help of:
- - Scientific and popular articles in the professional press and mass media;
- - Scientific conferences;
- - International congresses;
- - Organization of internships for specialists, politicians, and journalists in countries with the best medical and social infrastructure;
- - Hobby groups for discussion and exchange of thoughts, preparation of scientific papers on this topic among students;
- - Creation of an electronic library on this topic, about the experience in Ukraine and foreign countries.
