International internship for psychologists in Estonia

As a result and one of the important conclusions - that I, focusing on the present moment, gradually forget those thoughts that are swirling in my head, stressful feelings disappear. You don't think about war all the time anymore. Because of this, the body begins to feel lighter, the stress level decreases, and mental tension relaxes.
Karina: This therapy can be used not only for soldiers, but also for civilians, because everyone lives under a lot of stress, and statistics have shown that because of this, cancer has increased by several tens of percent. This therapy is extremely important for the civilian population, for loved ones, soldiers do not have time for this. Everything we received here, we will pass on to the Ukrainians when we come there as ambassadors.
How did the war affect your families?
Victoria: For example, I have a father at the front, he volunteered.
Valentina: My uncle died defending Kyiv.
Karina: There is not a single person in Ukraine who has not faced war. Everyone in my family is happy, but I lost many friends and colleagues, they died.
Ivanna: In fact, the war started back in 2013, and since that time, since my husband is a chaplain, we have been to the front 29 times. I myself am a psychologist, and when I am called to help at the front, I must help people, and I must have the strength to do it with feeling, both psychologically and physically. You should be healthy while helping others! The most difficult thing is not only to help the combatants, but also to support the dead relatives, they need psychological help. They should have people who help them cope with this situation.
Tamara, Victoria, Ivanna, Valentina, Karina: We are very grateful for your support and warm welcome, because this sympathy and help are very important to us - love, care and support are priceless.

The course was held as part of the project "Supporting the mental health of wounded Ukrainian soldiers and their relatives through training and cooperation with medical and educational workers of Ukraine." The Ukrainian healthcare sector receives support from the Center for International Development ESTDEV from Estonia.
