The Association of Doctors of the Carpathian Region, the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the World Association of Doctors continue a successful cycle of internships for rehabilitation specialists abroad.
The internship in one of the most famous rehabilitation clinics of the European Union and the largest group of GMTP clinics in the Balkans - the Anagennisi Clinic and the St. Luke's Clinic - held very well.
The treatment and rehabilitation center ANAGENNISI, which means "REVIVAL" in Greek, is located in the north of Greece, in the city of Thessaloniki. ANAGENNISI Rehabilitation Center is the largest rehabilitation center of its category in Greece, which has earned a strong reputation among local and foreign patients, built on the highest standards of health care, excellent quality of patient care and the use of modern medical rehabilitation technologies. The center can simultaneously accept 230 patients for inpatient treatment. Patients are also offered outpatient rehabilitation programs with the option of living in comfortable apartments on the coast of the Aegean Sea.
Saint Luke's Clinic is a private multidisciplinary clinic designed for 278 patients. Since 1975, when the St. Luke's Clinic first opened its doors to patients, it has been working under a double motto: on the one hand, the words from the Hippocratic Oath: "...for the benefit of the sick" and on the other hand, the words of the Apostle Paul: "...but of love with there are more of them." The entire medical staff of the clinic adheres to exactly this approach, perhaps that is why Greek and foreign patients of the clinic note how psychologically comfortable they are to undergo treatment here.
All departments and operating rooms are equipped with constantly updated state-of-the-art equipment. The clinic's doctors include a large number of leading specialists in their fields, known both in Greece and abroad.
A successful combination of many years of practical experience, modern equipment and scientific developments.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere on the part of the Greek colleagues. The internship was started personally by the director and founder of GMTP, Sam Awad, and the director of the St. Luke's Clinic, Katzarkas Demosthenes. Many warm words were expressed in support of Ukraine.

It should be noted the great attention and interest on the part of Ukrainian rehabilitators, who also showed their high professional level - in particular:
1. A powerful report by Prof. Valentin Postrelko (head of the Department of Internal Medicine with a course in psychiatry and narcology at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine)
2. We had the honor and pleasure to hear and see the high professional level of the Ukrainian center "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for the Khmelnytskyi Region" for the rehabilitation of post-amputation patients - Alla Yarmosh (head of the department of physical therapy, rehabilitation and restorative treatment "Territorial Medical Association "Union of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for Khmelnytskyi Region") and Lyudmila Savina (leading specialist of the Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation and Restorative Treatment "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for Khmelnytskyi Region").
During these days of stay in the clinic from morning to late evening, training was conducted on specialized equipment, analysis of clinical cases, modern protocols and algorithms of patient management. It should also be noted that Greek colleagues selflessly worked with Ukrainian rehabilitators.
According to the participants of the internship: "So much material and professional knowledge was transferred as if the internship lasted more than one month" - for this, too, special thanks to Sam Awad and the GMTP team. Much of what was seen in the clinic was in the form of unique technologies.
As part of the visit, an official memorandum and cooperation agreement was signed between the Association of Doctors of the Carpathian Region and "GMTP" - Greek Med Top Partners, which regulates the possibility of cooperation in terms of:
- professional development of rehabilitators of Ukraine,
- rehabilitation and treatment of patients from Ukraine,
- educational and research activity,
- participation in joint international projects.
In conclusion, I would like to express the general opinion that with such an attitude as from GMTP, rehabilitation in Ukraine will undoubtedly reach world heights and will progress rapidly.
Thank you Greek colleagues for your honesty, decency, kindness and professionalism!
