A psychological rehabilitation project will be implemented in Chernivtsi.
The international project concerns psychological rehabilitation in war and post-war times.
The project is implemented jointly with the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, the World Association of Doctors, the Association of Doctors of the Carpathian Region and Estonian partners.
The Chairman of the Board of the World Medical Association, a member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Oleksandr Marusyn, and project leaders from Estonia met with the leadership of the Chernivtsi City Council, and also visited the Central City Clinical Hospital, City Polyclinic No. 1, and the Psychiatric Hospital - after which the issue of further cooperation and the steps for internship and training of doctors in psychiatric rehabilitation and psychiatry abroad are outlined.
In the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the issue of the rehabilitation of defenders is at the same level as the issue of national security of Ukraine, says the chairman of the board of the World Medical Association Oleksandr Marusyn.
Therefore, the beginning of the implementation of the international project on psychological rehabilitation in war and post-war times is valuable for Ukraine.
Psychological counseling trainings for Ukrainian healthcare institutions will be organized by Estonian psychiatric specialists. As part of the project, they will also provide psychological assistance to Ukrainian soldiers and their families.
