An agreement was reached to start the project for nurses, as there is an acute shortage of nurses in Germany today. According to statistics, there are currently tens of thousands of vacancies in the country.
Medicine and patient care in Germany are considered stable professions. Workers in this field are not threatened by the crisis and unemployment.
You can get a job in one of the German clinics in two ways: to re-educate in a German medical school, or to confirm an existing diploma of a nurse.
Certificate of education
To work as a nurse or nurse in Germany, you must obtain a government license. n 2012, Germany passed a law on the recognition of foreign diplomas (Anerkennungsgesetz). It has greatly facilitated the procedure for confirming education received abroad. Thanks to this law, you can apply to a competent organization that compares your diploma with the corresponding German, and, if the level of knowledge is approximately the same, will issue a document confirming education abroad. If your education does not meet the standards, the commission will consider your length of service. If it is not enough to compensate for the difference, you will be assigned an adaptation course Anpassungslehrgang (duration determined by the district administration and usually about 1 year, maximum - 3 years) or a qualifying exam (Kenntnisprüfung) to choose from. You should choose the second option only if you know about the features of the German system of medical education, and are able to adapt your knowledge to its requirements. Otherwise, it will not be superfluous to take a special course of preparation for the German certification for the diploma of a nurse (crankenschwester). It will take more time, but so you will gain the experience and knowledge needed not only to pass the exam, but also for further work in the country. At the end of the adaptation course, you do not pass the general qualifying exam, but pass a special exam in the form of an interview on the course program.

Language requirements
To work as a nurse in Germany, you need to know German. You must obtain and submit an international B2 level certificate and demonstrate sufficient language proficiency in a medical examination.
You can prepare for the language and medical test, as well as simply raise the level of knowledge of German, at the Specialized German Language Course for Nurses "STEP TO THE DREAM".

- The practical exam is held in one of the departments of the hospital. The commission selects one or more patients for whom a detailed care plan needs to be drawn up. The practical part ends with an oral discussion on the topic of the plan. In essence, this is a report on the work done, during which you will be asked clarifying questions. Each situation takes 120 minutes. The maximum number of situations is 4.
- The oral exam covers the program of basic courses. Each course takes from 15 to 60 minutes.
You can retake the exam only once. The cost of transfer is 200 euros.
Job search
The search for vacancies in German clinics should begin before submitting documents to confirm the diploma. The more clinics you send your resume to, the higher your chances of getting a job. Don't be limited to hospitals and hospitals - send applications to private clinics and nursing homes as well. Each institution has its own requirements for educational and migration documents: you may be denied due to the lack of a certain specialty and work experience in Germany, as well as German citizenship and residence permit.
In some clinics, you can take a few days trial period. You will work for free, but will be able to appreciate all the nuances of working on your own experience.
