On February 19, 2024, a joint working visit of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and the Association of Doctors of the Carpathian Region to the University named after Jozef Shafarik, Slovakia.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by:
Oleksiy Onipko – President of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, Honored Inventor of Ukraine
Oleksandr Marusyn - Director of the Center for International Cooperation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Board of the World Union of Doctors.
From the Slovak side, the following took part in the negotiations:
prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD. - rector of Jozef Shofarik University
William Donich - Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Department of Medical Physiology of the Medical Faculty of the University named after Pavlo Shafarik
As a result of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed and cooperation in the field of applied sciences, medicine, renewable energy, achievements in the development of medical equipment was stipulated. It was agreed to hold joint scientific works, as well as international congresses, conferences, exchange of experience.
